San Diego County Sheriff’s Department

Re-Branding Design

The main objective of this project was the rebranding and modernization of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. The new appearance aims to represent the agency in a positive light, embodying a modern attitude that reflects today’s commitment to inclusivity.

Digital Rebranding Strategy

During the building stages, we initiated research and concept development, guided by our initial branding strategy. Throughout the year, we conducted public data and research to better understand user flow and optimize website traffic to specific sections. With developed personas, information architecture, and detailed wireframes, we constructed the project through a steady pipeline, resulting in an intuitive digital appearance and a successful website restructure.

The new branding was built with the user in mind, limiting additional functionalities and supportive tools to enhance user engagement. This approach provided the department with the flexibility to set up and build unique pages without needing expert web-building knowledge. Consequently, more relevant and refined content was streamlined into the website, allowing users to create new templates for each department within the agency.

Social Media & Community Rebranding

The agency's goal was to update its image and modernize its look to better communicate its message to the San Diego community. This successful rebrand enabled the release of improved content for emergencies, life-saving situations, and community events. Most designs were displayed digitally with descriptive graphics to enhance public communication and understanding.
