Hello,
I'm AJ, a 33-year-old UI/UX Designer & Senior Graphic Designer based in Pittsburgh, PA.
I am currently leading initiatives, innovation & integration of design within A.I. and Machine Learning at the US Army’s Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C).
My Experience: Bachelors degree in Graphic Design with over 13+ years of active experience in creating and implementing effective designs, 5 years of designing User Interfaces and Experiences for web, mobile, machine learning and artificial intelligence applications.
With a background in Graphic Design and a focus on technology, I'm a problem solver and visual thinker inspired by the visual craft, and motivated by empathy. I gravitate towards problem solving and storytelling, executing thoughtful experience designs and prototyping, as well as building high-quality solutions using design-led methodologies.
Background: Originally born and raised in San Diego, California for most of my life, my upbringing in a culturally diverse environment has distinguished and equipped me with the necessary experience and awareness to meet the diverse needs of my clients. My love for Anime, Marvel Comics, Video Games, and Soccer has been the driving force behind my creative journey and the foundation of my design career.
Over the past 13+ years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed organizations such as NASA, Google, Rockstar Studios San Diego, Carnegie Mellon University, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, US Air Force, US Army, and various other freelance design projects.
I approach each opportunity with humility, empathy, acceptance, tolerance and excitement! I’m always ready to share my personality and passion for design in any organization I’m a part of.
